Q: Don't I need a license?

No.  You do not need a license to do work on your own house.  You must however, follow all applicable building, fire, and electrical codes. When you pull your permit your local Building & Safety Department will review your plans.  Once approved, just stick to the plans and don't self-engineer some crazy racking system or use wire not specified on the permit.

If you are planning on installing solar on more than just your house, then yes, you will need to be properly licensed, bonded, and insured.

Q: What comes with the kit?

Q: Do all the parts that come in the kit meet applicable code requirements? Yes. all components supplied in TSG kits meet UL listing,

Q: What about working in the service panel?

Q:What about rebates? The difficulty of filing for a rebate largely depends on how comfortable you are with doing paperwork and filling out forms.
